SocialCar is the first peer to peer car rental platform operating in Spain, pioneering the sharing economy in our country. Launched in late 2011, we have built a platform where more than 3,000 car owners put their idle cars to work by renting them out when they are not using them. SocialCar is well on track to hit €800k revenue in 2014, with over 20,000 drivers already registered in the marketplace. SocialCar tackles a €12BN market opportunity, in a country with 29.5 MM cars sitting idle 98% of the time and receiving 60 MM tourists every year. SocialCar is a web based services, with an iOS and Android App expected to be launched in Summer 2014.
